Watering and soil questions! Newbie here HELP!

HELP! My autos are 1 week old. Soil is black gold organic potting soil. Looking good but the soil right around my stem like 2in out will not dry. The rest around the pot is drying up fine but right against the stems wont dry. Idk what to do is this normal or should i wait to water again until it drys out? Help me out guys!

If it’s not drying the plant is probably not using it. Post a picture.

Does it look good for 7 days old? I know i will never use this soil again for sure. Going coco mix next time this soil is full of mulch and stinks like no other. Not good for indoors. Lol

Typical auto going in the final container. Looks fine.

Looks fine so far, you think that smells, I foliar feed with fish and kelp fertilizer, drives my cats nuts

Guess i should have added i have 2 gorilla glue and 2 bubblegum autos. They are in 3 gallon fabric pots, black gold soil, watering with a ph of 6.3 spring water. One of them isnt looking good but i think i overwatered it which i knew i was going to do at some point. Haha
