You add water only when your plant alreasy is droopy? Add water when the soil is dried up, not the plant.

are you maybe just not used to the new weight of the bigger bag and misjudging them?

Well maybe it's because the roots have not fully established the 1 gallon container and thats why they have not sucked up alot of water. When I transplant fro party cups to 1 gallon bags I will water/feed and probably not have to do it for almost a week after. At the moment I have some large ladies well establish in 3 gallon bags that can handle about a gallon per feeding every 3 days. Over watering is not good, let it dry up enough then water.
