Water and Soil Ph?

I think i read somewhere a while ago that 6.5 is the best level for Ph for the plant to be able to take in all nutrients effectively, is this true? Want to make sure before i start changing my water

Anywhere in between 6-7 is considered safe for your plant. If it goes above or below then you would want to make some changes
