nope. its just a random seed that g13 said was PE. they dont even disclose the genetics but its rumored to be a hawaiian sativa and some indica to speed it up

It's based on the strain C99 which is suppose to be the original pineapple express. So just get c99 probably better than a strain that was created around a movie.

its actually funny that you ask this question cuz seth rogan has said before that he'd know if the movie was a hit or not if after it came out that there was a strain named pineapple express, and guess what?? it was a success as there is now a strain named after it.. pretty cool actually me thinks..

Ive always thought it to be a C99 hybrid....its my conspiracy theory untill he releases the genetics lol.
I did smoke some..it was good but deff not pure C99...fatter nugs and the high was a tamer.

I've heard people say Pineapple Express is C99 crossed with either Skunk #1 or some Afghani.

idk my bottom leaves look like an indica then the bud leaves looks like a sativa. but it does only take 8 weeks so maybe its an indica dom.

mine had sativa characteristics in its high and leaf/flower structure tho it finished in 63 days...it smelled and tastes like skunky bananas(go smell a banana with the peel off and add skunk), yielded good, and was nice and light green in color......Id say 50/50 or so hybrid with different phenos for all to enjoy, ive only grown the one tho, ive also heard hawaiin sativa genes are in there somwhere who knows

That could make some sense..Skunk can bring out some fruity qualities and has some of its own
I find that fairly typical of sativa hybrids to ..my apollo and cindy both do that.
Its so mysterious i wanna order some lol...not cuz of they hype just to see what its all about in the garden.
