Was it a HUGE mistake growing my purple kush seeds in Miracle Grow Potting Soil?

So far my grow has been AMAZING! These plants are the most beautiful I have ever seen, in my opinion, and not just because I am the grower. I am however, an inexperienced first time grower. I didn't do as much research on soils and nutrients as I should have, but I had always seen my Mom (an experienced Gardner) use Miracle Grow in her garden and have great results. Therefore, I naturally thought it would also be great for weed. Now that I am in my first month of flowering, I've started to do a lot of research on harvesting, drying, curing and next steps. I came across this forum, and several others that were completely dedicated to the battle over whether or not Miracle Grow (MG) is incredible or the worst thing possible to use to grow marijuana. With all the hours I have spent reading on the subject I still don't have a definitive answer. There are very convincing arguments on both sides. I am still confused and wanted to start my own thread to get the most current experiences and opinions. Attached are some pics of my plants for your perusal. Please help me end the endless dilemma!

Time release nutes are harder to control if you will. I like complete control so hydro/coco is what I like. I say to each their own. A buddy grew some insane plants using miracle grow. If you get good or great results why F with it?

Yes. Miracle-Gro is a terrible medium. In the future, I suggest using a good soilless mixture such as Pro-Mix BX. Learn about mixing your own soil and experiment with coco coir with Pro-Mix BX or some FoxFarm Ocean Forest. I do not recommend Sunshine Mix because it is loaded with nutes and you really need to flush.

Miracle Gro is loaded with thrips in my past personal experience.

I used MG soil a few times with great results..haven't used it many years though..there are better soils for equal price. Agree with racerboy.. Works fine unless you start pounding it with nutes.

Mg will work fine, bad choice for a new grower though, pH & ppm meter would be good to have.. If your still in veg, you could always transplant into something you wont have to check on every day.

I got shit once before but if my only option was prefertilized Miracal Grow potting soil I'd find some secluded parking lot and scoop some dirt from fhere:)
