Are we more likely to wage war if it is machine vs. machine? Then the what? Everyone picks up the scrap and go home?

it won't be robots it will be like the kids playin video games. som one with a controller driving those from a bunker hiden some where. the tank or plane gets destroyed the driver gets a new one. it will be a uav war. they did an episoid like that on star gate. its better to lose the machine then the piloit. that is one reason why japan lost ww2. a lot of there good piloits crashed in to our ships . in an atempt to sink them.

Maybe it will evolve off the battle field and onto computer screens. Battles will be won by who captures the flag the most in Call of Duty or something. War will still be won by who kills the most real people though. And destroys the most real shit.

The goal of automated warfare will be to anihilate the enemy's stockpile of drones so that human targets can be attacked. - First I'm going to blow up your toys, then I'm going to blow you up. So its true, whoever has the most toys wins.

I still think countries are more likely to launch attacks if there is less of a chance of losing the soldiers that we have put time and money into training.

There are already systems that can fly around a battle field picking out targets on their own. You just give them a patrol zone and a type of target and they 'loiter' until they detect a selected target.

Most countries have UAV's. Most have basic stealth. Most have chemical weapons. It it the evolution of man. Sad but true.

God, I never heard myself sound like that. War is needed sometimes. Once again, sad but true.

anyone seen the film toys? with robin williams. that's a great film :)

whether we have robots or not, it's still the people we're going at. if you have a big robot tank against a big robot tank, you can bet that one side will have a big robot gunshoip trying to trace the guy controlling the other big robot tank

If I had that machine, the first thing I'd do with it is build an awesome motocross track somewhere by my house. After that, I'd take it up to Sacramento and make another motocross track out of the state legislature building.
