Volcano long term maintenance

I’ve inherited a volcano classic (non digital) that was extremely well kept (always boxed back up and kept clean) from a good friend. He has had it a little under 10 years.

I’ve been using it almost daily since I got it from him in March, and love it.

I am just curious if there are any other long term usage volcanos out there and what sort of replacement parts I should have on hand. The valve and mouthpiece are all serviceable but Im curious about the heat exchanger/element’s longevity and when I should expect to replace something more serious

As far as I can tell it’s performing flawlessly and I’d like to keep it that way. I even love the fact it’s the non digital version; something about the simplicity makes me feel good

I have 3 Volcanos, 2 digital and a Classic. All have worked well for me for years without any regular maintenance. There`s an air filter on the base of the unit that you`ll want to check.

If you do get a failure you can ship it to Storz & Bickle and they`ll fix it for $50-$100.

that’s good to know about their service I guess I’m overthinking it. Glad to hear your positive experiences
