If you are under 25 and don't mind taking the backpacker route, you can hit any number of hostels in the city and take advantage of ridiculous prices.

As far as airfare, Kayak.com usually has the best deals. Book at least 21 days in advance and try to check on tuesdays as most airlines are reacting to new fares posted on Monday by compettitors.

If you are looking for a nice hotel, let me know your price range and i can recommend some good ones or go on Frommers.com for hotel and city reviews.
