So, I have been thinking about growing for a while now and am very interested in growing in my wardrobe. I have a space about 48cm X 50cm X 140cm. How many plants do you think is best for that amount of space?

1 plant will be great in there
or you can grow 10 autos
or you can grow 18 if you are using hydro
or just stick with 1 in soil






I am kidding more information as to the lights and ventilation and what medium ya know all the good stuff.

What are autos? I think I will go with soil though based on my understanding of setting it up.

Help me break my growing virginity! Based on the dimensions of my space do you think using CFLs will be okay?

Ill break it down for you. You need to decide on lightning first. Basicly its like this:

HPS Runs very hot but gives great output in terms of usable light.
CFL Runs very cool but gives shitty output in terms of usable light.

Then there is LED, MH en Plasma, but those are not for you. Those become economically more feasible if you have a larger closet.

For you I would recommend a 250 watt HPS or a more wattage HPS with a cooltube. CFL's are possible too but to much hassle imo.

Then you would need a duct fan and a carbon filter. Here in europe you can have a set of that which is perfect for your closet for about 120 euro.

Its such a small space I assumed use like 8 cfl at 27 watts apiece, with 6 above and one on either side. How easy is it to find HPS lights? With the cfl's being low heat producing and the scabinet being easily opened up to a much larger space I figured I would not need a fan. Any idea how easy it is to find good feminized seeds in Amsterdam?

you should have a few fans anyways, cfl's may not put off that much heat, but once you start using 6+ lights, the heat can add up and make the plants uncomfortable. id use a small intake fan and exhaust fan.
