Hey Yall, Im back after some wait, and have some time to sit and make a new entry.

Im constantly taking new photos just about every other day and so i have some updating to do.

As we saw before:

And now:

Hindu Kush:

Graybeard:

Everyday im seeing more and more resin production, even far out on the leaves...ill see if i can snap a photo when i get home tonight. Should be pretty nice Herbs when all said and done.

So understanding the growth under the LED is easyy growing. I can see how using a second light could really boost light levels and total plant growth.
I think that next round im gonna:
try 6 plants again,
use 2 of the Same light fixtures,
go full Coco/Perlite. bongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie

Hey Jack, Yea ive seen extreme growth in bud development. Currently at just about 5 weeks, im seeing more bud production than i saw in week 8 under the CFL.

The CFL also had older bulbs, and the Chernobyl came from A facility with A Lot more light. To a small tent with A lot less light. haha

so currently its doing pretty darn well.

Hey, so ive been keeping my temps up in the tent a bit higher and have seen great growth. What little extra boost might i get from picking a LED with UV or IR bulbs. Would you have a suggestion of a light that would do well in this application, or should i purchase a second light and just blow that little tent up? :fire::fire::fire:

Thanks yall. Happy Growing.

The Galaxy Hydro lights have the IR and UV diodes. I actually just junked my perferctly functional blurple boards in favor of the COB conversion.
Converting one of your lights to a decent COB panel could cost as little as 100 bucks. I'd put the funds towards a conversion myself.
Blurple lights work and they grow decent product for an entry level grower, but not after you've seen a good cob grow.
1 grow and it pays for itself.
I'm not sure what benefits the UV and IR diodes have. I personally have not tested it and therefore cannot intelligently comment on that aspect.
I can say that while the blurple lights did grow a nice frosty nug, they lacked weight and density.

Did I mention that in 1 grow the conversion pays for itself?

The UV and IR diodes promote CBD and Terpenes growth

I have the same light with 3 plants going. About 3 weeks into flower at the moment and they are all loving it. Subbed to compare as well.

Have you guys experienced light burn with the light being about a foot from the top of the canopy? I'm seeing a paling of top leaves. I was worried about mag deficiency but I'm not sure

well, I the lower leaves never healed after moving the light 6 inches but the newer growth still seemed to have burn. I thought mag as well but didn't know if led lighting would cause similar effects. I think I have a little of both going on. Epsom salt works well as a solution does it not?

You should look at the size of your pot, the amount that that size pot should be watered and fed, look at profiles of your plant to determine its tolerances to over and undernuting to assess resilience and durability compensation for strain, and then follow the precautions you find about that particular strain.

Excellent thread and grow set up here. I just purchased the viparspectra 450watt.
By any chance does anyone know if viparspectra led lights emitt UV?

No, just IR. They don't need UV, trust me. They'll work fine without it. Check my journal if you want reassurance. I had them under just one 450 up until last Friday.

Damn I'm so excited for my viparspectras. I've got 2 girls in week 3 of flower under a 900w light (about to add another 900w Monday) and they are starting to shine like yours! Excited to see your end result!

This thread isn't as old as I thought at first, so I'll comment. I was just googling info about the Viparspectra. I have an 800W KingPlus LED but I don't like the (germicidal) UV diode; I need to wear sunscreen under the light and eye protection and I don't think it helps much.

I am going to keep it to grow some autos under but I am expecting the Viparspectra 600 to arrive by this weekend. It has several IR diodes but no UV so far as I can tell. Looks like a good light and I have read some solid reviews.

How did this grow turn out? Is it still going? Last pics of budding plants under that chicken wire scrog looked pretty decent.

Not sure cause it's happening to lower leaves as well
I was wondering the same thing about light burn/bleaching. It will look like someone splashed bleach on your leaves nearest the light.
In this grow the light seems pretty close. Especially for 5 watters..

I have a 75 true watt Apollo LED with 3 watt diodes. I am using it to supplement light over my largest buds. I have it about 4 inches away. It has blached a few fan leaves. Nothing too major. I just find solace in knowing that the ppfd over the best bud is probably off the charts :)

A lot of people trash the cheapie LEDs and I've never used for flower, but I'll say that for veg nothing seems to work better for nice, short, bushy plants.

Nice grow and journal! please keep us updated.
