Violet x JTR - TGA Tester

Received ten free Violet x JTR at the Michigan Cannabis Cup this year. I will eventually have time and room to pop a few of these but was wondering if anyone has any info on this cross or on the strain Violet ie: cannabinoid/terp profile, effects, growth info, ect.

I was able to find info on Violet Delight. Is this the same strain the Sub used and called Violet? The only info i could find on the cross was info from Instagram, but i do not own an account with them.

Doesnt look that way. I tried out TGA about 5 years ago. I ordered a bunch of his strains and ended up with seeds that didnt pop, a bunch of males, then a few females that were mid-grade quality with really nice smells and tastes.
 
I thought Michigan CC wasn't till June 11th? I didn't know TGA was still making new strains. Got a couple of the oldies Plushberry and JTR but that's it. Had Chernobyl liked it but no more TGA for me those are the best from them IMHO but be glad to see what comes from some new gear tho. Good luck with the test

It is early in June this year. I got these as a tester freebie at the 2015 cup when i picked up some Jesus OG and Pennywise.

Sub himself was not at the Cup any of the years in MI but there is an official TGA tents with strains and other gear.

I know someone has to know something on this strain. I saw there was someone else testing it and posting in Instagram but i don't have an account to get much info

You didn't care for Chernobyl? Was it the slymer cut, or was this grown from seed?

Naw it wasn't Slymer it was good great flavors and terps high was good too just not a keeper but I hear the Golden Ticket aka Slymer is where it's at. Hopefully get to try it shit is so damn frosty. I think it beats GG#4 on that by a lil.
 
I don't usually take the time to snap pics and put info online but based on the fact there is almost no info on this cross I will be certain to help out the community a little and let everyone know how it goes. I have 10 beans of Violet.x JTR, and typically only pop a few at a time. I tend to get a high % of females with good genetics like Sub's (ideal conditions tend to provide more females). I will likely pop them next, unless both my PW end up male.

I currently have two Pennywise and one Jesus OG i haven't sexed yet. The Jesus is only a few weeks old from seed, but the Pennywise should be showing soon. One appears likely a male already.
 
Going to pop a few of these this week. Need to keep my numbers right, but can probably start with 3 or 4 of the 10 beans and give them a whirl.
 
Have had these sitting in the freezer for years and popped two last week. There used to be a little info from norstar genetics posting pics of this strain, but i have seen little else. A TGA tester that must have never made it.

Not sure if the violet here is violet delight or not. Either way looking for a pheno that stands out in taste ideally. Norstar claimed the Violet side was a high CBD Afghan orgin.
 
SUB dos well to bread jill and he dam sure is no breader at all.if you get good beans from him I bet some one other then him made the teast seeds.I grew a lot of his shit beans and would never GROW ANY BEANS WITH HIS NAME ON THEM again.

I don't have anything Sub in my lineup currently but previously held some fantastics genetics i got from Sub seed stock. I had great phenos of Agent Orange, Cheese Quake, Jilly Bean, and Vortex previously. Maybe because i am an organic grower and Sub also is an organic grower who pays close attention to flavor but i very much dissagree about his genetics. They are very good. I would like to hear who you feel is much better and why you think his strains suck?

Found some more info on the Violet in this cross. It is actually is a rare pheno of Pure Afghan a landrace strain given by DNA genetics years ago as a freebie. I actually have popped this strain before and even have a few left in the vault. Pure indica no doubt in my experience but i can see the potential of it being good breeding stock. I also read it is a high CBD indica.

Either way, i have two currently in small pots already a little root bound. The one is very vigorous. Likely a male. Will give an update as to results.
