Video of: Okland City reviews Medical Marijuana Cultivation Facility

what sucks about this is that they only allow 4 permits,an you best beleave Richard Lee already has his set to the side.I wonder who will be the 3 other people lucky enogh to grow weed in california.

i heard phillip morris has a spot also and they've already got the legal paperwork to keep all the slang terms. but thats just what ive heard ive never seen text on it.

i dont find richard lee that bad of a guy, hes a smart business person. he saw the potential and hes staying on the ball every year regaurdless of the critics. so if he succeeds, dont get mad at him for it, get mad that YOU dindt play your cards right to be in his spot.

I didnt say anything bad about ricard lee.

but he is one of whom pushed for permit limits. The only way to take weed to the corporate level is to limit the amount of growers. If everyone were able to sell weed then there wouldnt be just a few large growers there would be thousands of small growers, but these people doing this in oakland are trying to 1) make millions of dollors 2) eleminate the compitition 3) monopilize and control the weed industry.

please. lets keep this truthful. What Oakland is doing, with the establishment of four huge indoor facilities (which i am against), DOES NOT LIMIT GROWING ANYWHERE IN CALIFORNIA OTHER THAN OAKLAND. This means Berkeley is still good, along with the entire rest of the state, for now (we'll see what 19 brings when it passes, yikes local regulations).

The 'slang terms' were shot down by a court ruling. No one can patent sour diesel or blue dream or any other Cannabis variety.

1) agree
2/3) disagree, they are doing commercial, and limiting growing only in Oakland. If you've been to blue sky, their herb is sub-par. They can't compete with our top shelf organics. They will try to establish a mid-grade commercial herb. Monopoly: yes. Control of top shelf/industry: never

What we can hope for is that Cannabis fans will demand local organic produce :)

Anyone who drinks beer knows the best comes from local micro-breweries.
Local products will be supported and cherished.

*cough* Go Great Lakes! *cough*

Anyone who drinks beer knows the best comes from local micro-breweries.
Local products will be supported and cherished.

And that local microbrew is heavily taxed and regulated, yet thrives in all states of the US.
And local microbrew costs significantly more to produce and purchase, so it is all about quality and supply/demand on the high end market.

But, a world without commercial alcohol (or pot, or food, or anything for that matter) may be appealing to some here, respect for both sides on this one.

It's the same thing with ANY product in America ...

Large businesses will make the most money because of the amount of money and resources they have to compete with.
Small "Mom and Pops" will have to rely on quality, tradition, and fan followings.

Budweiser vs The local micro brewery
Mc Donalds vs The local burger joint
Dominos vs The local pizza place
Meijers vs The local fresh produce store

Small business manages to survive because they have the quality, will, and creativity to capture local citizens.
It's capitalism ... and no one should expect anything different with marijuana legalization.

educational porn!!

and if the local mom/pop bud shop decides to be optimistic and wants to continue their journey into entrepreneurship and DOES have the better strains/customer service then wallys mart of chronic, then i PLEDGE to support the mom/pop.
