Hmm so your saying even a larger custom made fence setup was s failure? Darn I thought that may be better than a tomato cage
Cage worked fine. The plant failed to utilize the space....
The strain in general didn't take to my conditions well and this one in particular failed to thrive in any meaningful way. Never got more than 24" tall the whole season. Never sick, per se.... Just not at all vigorous.

Ok so you feel the support setup could have helped if the plant got large enough it was the plant that failed not the cage. I have so much fencing around I'm going to try this!!

It works. I had to also hang netting from posts because the OGs grew into just huge shrubs, the cage wasn't enough.
Those ones got my special cages, too-- 7' cages made of concrete reinforcing wire, 8x8 grid. Heavy!

Here we are about 48 hours after the break, thankful for all the advice and although I would of done things different if I had time to do something right away, if nothing else I'll think faster if it ever happens again.
Plants are getting support asap!
Also sorry I don't proof read my post I guess I should.

Well so far so good, can't believe it! I know I'm going to have problems if I don't seel the center that is like a cup collecting water. I use black fabric around the plants so I can't get the hog fence to stay.....stakes and rope it is for support

Acrylic Chalking!! I kid you not. The plant will never know. Makes the perfect bandage. Stretches with the plant.

Happy 4th!!! Got a little time to update on the Candy Kush....... She is looking amazing!!!! Can't f'in believe it and still wonder if we will get to finish without issues. I put black pruning sealer on the injured stalkes and filled most of the center where it cups. Covered the plant with chicken wire after doing a heavy trim of the lower spindle braces. it's going to be a b**** to get to now that it's covered.

Can't believe how fast the girls are growing right now but it's that time of year and only 80ish days till October 1 last year we got lucky and I harvested well into October but that was very odd for our season. I'm hoping to see what these bugs are going to look like in the next two weeks.

I put some more grafting paint or plant sealer on the stem again mixed with a little neem. As it grows the stem looks great but why not keep it covered. Wish I got all my plants in early they would be so much bigger. Pineapple Express was planted early but had to be moved but she is very nice too. This spot is so nitrogen heavy started feeding some transition food for good measure.IMG_20180710_080913772.jpg IMG_20180710_080902677.jpg
