ok so im going to be ordering my 4''inch inline booster fan.
Boosted CFM:80
Free Air CFM:65(i don't know what either mean by the way)
my question is how do i mount it?and is that a ok exhaust fan for 2 plants?
and how do i hook up a carbon filter to it?
or do i need one if i connect ducting to it and put fabric sheet in it or a bunch taped at the end?

all comments appreciated, sorry for duble posting but plan on ordering this very soon:joint:

It all depends on your lamp. If it is a high power lamp you will need a higher power fan. The carbon filters connect with aluminum ducking.

I just put in a 4" inline fan today from Home depot. It is 80cfm. My room size is 42" wide x 40" deep x 85" tall = 82.6 cubic feet. I need more air flow so I will trade it for the 6" one tomarrow. It has 325cfm and is only $3.00 more.

Here are 2 pics of how I mounted mine. I put a piece of wood on the roof, a piece of black foam to reduce noise, and a strap around all of it.

I just installed one myself just recently. Didn't get the huge results I was expecting, does help a fair amount though.

here is what im doing.... I have a 4 inch duct fan air cooling and venting to the attic from my HPS. Then I have a 6 inch inline fan with one of panheads $3 carbon filters fenting through the closet door into my room... its perfecto!
