hi there people, howdydo.i have a 10x10 bedroom painted in flat white with a 12000btu a/c split unit, a 50pint dehumidifier,2 18'' oscilating fans,a 1000w/hps and a 8inch 600cfm 220v inline duct fan.my problem is when i turn on the fan it sucts out the air from the room and the temps go up.also do i have to bring in fresh air from another room or is the a/c supplying the fresh air?
any advise is greatly appreciated...:wall:

when you turn ur inline fan on, it should be sucking through a filter, pushing through your lights and going into the roof/wall/floor. that should NOT raise temps unless you got leaks in your ducting. the ac should bring the cold air in, but having a little hole somewhere for fresh air isnt a bad idea either.

thanks for the response fir3,i do not have filters because no problems with smell, but i do have it venting the one light into the attic.and no leaks in ducting.is it because the fan is sucking air from under the doorway and from the other rooms?

i wouldnt think so. though im not sure because i grow in a tent thats in a closet with a window lol. dont let the temps get higher then 80. you might have too many bends in the ducting. each bend reduces the CFM and so does the length. so make it as small less bends and as tight as possible

sorry for the delay.i hooked up 4'' 165cfm fan and the air did not suck out as with the 600cfm.temps remained at 73.1p-80.3.sometimes when the lights were off temps were like 76-77deg/f,is this normal.i would like the
LIGHTS/ON-77deg
LIGHTS/OFF-72deg
cani get this with the fans,a/c and the dehumidifier that i have?

Try using a speed controller to turn it down a bit.

do i have to build a room in the 10x10.what can the problem b?anybodified peps with some kind of knowledge to help a islander out......:wall::?::?:

fir3dragon thank you for all your suggestions so far and i really hope you or someone can help me with this 10x10.its a space that can be used but i want to set it up properly and no better place to do it with than the people that do it themselves and and have grea results..:bigjoint:

ok. so , your light has tubes that hook to it, soooooooo put your fan on the light, and a tube connecting , should suck the air from the out side room and blow through the light ,. then the exhaust will exit out into your attick. the fan should be a min of 500 cfm, and seal the room up air tight run that ac , will be way more then enough to cool this 1k light, also you do have the ac exhaust going out the window correct. if you. have all of this done. and have problems. please take some pics of your room for us, we will get you going correct,

fir3,the 165cfm temps are alot closer to what i want except sometimes when the lights are off its 76-77deg. and the a/c is almost at its lowest setting, which one of the fan problems would be easier to deal with.

76-77 is fine. Mine is between 70-80 lights off and on.

you should be able to use that 600cfm fan and get it lower if the ac cools it good enough. When the light is on, it's gonna still put some heat off nothing like it would without air cooled though

the reflector is 38''x29'' with 6'' duct. outlets on each side and 1/2'' class.its homemade and its not sealed but can put the girls about 16'' close.the reflector is connected to the fan,600cfm or165cfm which is mounted in the attic to suck the unwanted air out of the reflector in the same 10x10. there are 3 doors to the room, 2 of them are sealed all the way around so there is only 1main door to come in the 10x10.i am using a 12000btu split a/c in the same 10x10 room,do not understand what you mean if i have the a/c exhaust going out the window correct.but i will put up some pics for u guys and see what i missed and you saw, thanks fir3 and kinddiesel, i know i came to the wright place.going to play some soccer and when i return the lights should be on cause they b sleeping lol.
as i say,
luvtolive,luvttopull....pics coming later..
