Like i said avove that wont help your humidity issue at all basically, and the people selling it will litterally say anything. Buy it if you want but it really isnt likely to help much.

I can run a dehum pulling 5 gallons of water per day out of the air (20,000 ml) its not only what the plant transpires, its about total moisture in the air. A unit rated for 690 ml max isnt going to pull 690 ml, and 690 ml is very very tiny.
^ this.

Yes unfortunately I know way too much about baking soda :cuss: I just sprayed it a little while ago (use 1tsp. per quart), heres a thread that may help, it's called "Remo chemo" in grow journals

Also this thread might help and it's got links to other humidity issue related threads

so basicly I must move more air thgru my tent...so stronger fan most definetly...am I right?

Do you know any thing about wood pallets or baking soda in tent when is flower time ?
The baking soda wont pull a ton of moisture but it will remove some. Youll notice when you first put it in it will be a light fluffy powder, and as a few days go by it will turn into a chunk as it pulls moisture into it. But its not gonna be a ton. Will help with smell too.

@Beachwalker in the use im talking about for baking soda its left in trays, i would never recommemd it sprayed on a plant. Its sodium bicarbinate and the sodium is aweful for plants. Potassium bicarbinate or calcium bicarbinate are ok to use as folier tho

Yes I misunderstood him, I get that now like putting a box in the back of the refrigerator, but that's not going to make much of a difference I don't know if a 50 to 70 pint unit is going to really make much of a difference where I am but I'm doing well with sulfur burning, baking soda and neem oil sprays until I can pick up larger dehumidifier

While I'm having great luck with baking soda and my plants are extremely healthy now and septoria completely stopped (fingers crossed!?)

Disagree that baking soda is negative, works very well for me as a preventative spray, in fact it's been a lifesaver, and it washes right off the bud too. However, you gave him the perfect answer up top!

ok I wont be sprayed on the plant...

so if I just put some soda in the glass and put inside the tent that is perfectly safe for my plant during flowering time ?
The soda wont evaporate and hurt the plant in any kind ?...

So if I can add some soda to my tent what is the best position to do so...on the floor or above somwhere...
And for my reading of humidity my humidity meter stays on the floor , and I water my plant every 3 day , but I clean it after I water 10 min after..and I have smart-pot...
So maybe why my reading from humidity meter goes so high...
I raise the meter half metar and the meter show me 10-12 % humidity less then floor...

so now I am on 50% when the fan is on...
Will look for night humidity...
But if stay 50 % during the flower I can live with that... and today is rainy day ( so I excpect in good day about 40% when sun raise and temp go up I will have constant 40% during flower time.when my fan is on...still have a problem with room mate...today I open the tent and it was 80% humidity the fan didnt work for 8 h ...so every day my conditions with humidity are 14 h 50-55% and during nights 8 h 70-85..)

I notice also that when I remove my window in grow tent the humidity go down but then I dont have that vacum effect of the tent and dust collecting in fan and tent window...
also seems to me that fan working much better when I remove the window from side of the tent...

I dont know to open or close that window ??

You want to spread it out as much as possible, so in a tray like a half inch deep, and cups all over. Id use as much as you can fit in there dont skimp on it, shits cheap. Last time i used it was in a 4x4 tent and i used 4kg per week. Pulled a fair bit of moisture and all smell that was overloading the carbon filter, but im sure that if i didnt have the carbon filter the baking soda on its own would not have been able to manage. Took both. It wont hurt your plant any it will just dry out the air a little. When it chunks up replace it. I only recommend it because you cant add a real dehum, its not going to be huge but it dropped my humidity noticably an i got threw no mold.

vivax-ft-31t-slika_1496_843.jpg
So today I buy thih table ventilator from vivax and helping me a lot
My hummidity is now 34 % when he and main vent are on....so I really hope that he gone help me when my room mate unpluged the main quietline 125 vent...This table fan is quiet when Is on 1 speed and hope that he can sleep in room with it inside the tent...

So this fan is little big for this space 80x80x160 but its my alarm option for mold , and I go to closest centar and buy it...It pulling 25 w 1 speed, and 2 and 3 speed is very strong blow that I wont need it...

But the only problem is that one side of the plant have direct blow on it so i worring about wind burn...
Every bud, every cola, every branch on the plant are moving nice but the side where is vent is I think is too aggresive...and vent is in corner of the tent so whatever position I put it the side where he blowing direct is going to be under the problem ??
So couple of fan leaves on that side have really going up and down really strong under inffluence of the fan....
So can i dim the vent and how...?
Or I must buy 2 clip on 10-15 w fans

With this did I do some good for bud rot ,mold or septoria, powdery mildew ??
my only plant is looking good now with this new wind every where except that side

thank you all for the info you gave me

It seems to me your going to really struggle to grow while you have a roommate. If like you say you 2 have been friends for ages don't let this ruin it. It's clearly bothering him or he wouldn't duck with it. And him ruining your crop is going to piss you off at him. Some thing just arnt worth it. Wait till you can do this right. It's really much easier when your living in a place by yourself. Don't have girls at your grow. Don't tell people. Be private. I don't even share photos online. I'll let people shittalk me and call me a liar all day I don't care. This is a private hobby and should be treated as such so you don't get burned.

Beachwalker knows of what he speaks about baking soda spray. I saved a plant by doing this. Too close to chop for copper treatment but not baking soda and coconut oil.

I meant spray the baking soda on Jim, not throw it in your tent?! Lol! Harley told you the same thing above ?

I recently saw her another thread where somebody claimed to have good results by putting large amounts of salt in their tent, I imagine it works in a similar way?

..a fan's not going to lower humidity, it's just going to keep humid air moving! It's probably the best thing you can do under your particular situation though, best of luck!
