ventilation for a grow tent?

What is a DIY way for venting a 4'x4'x6' grow tent? I'm running a 400w hps in my flower room, with six plants. (so i have to also think about cooling the bulb.)

There are holes in the tent where i can attach 4' ft ducting, will a computer fan attached to a dryer hose with a carbon filter on the end work?

chances are it wont be enough.I have about the same size tent using a passive venting system by running an active air 265 blower at the top of my tent blowing air up into my attic which is sucking air through my cooltube 600w/scrubber which in turn is sucking air from the bottom 4-6" vents that run behind my tent sucking in air from outside.the 265 is barely enough so i run it 24/7 with 3 15 minute shut off's during the early light cycle for my co2 injections.pics in my journal.peace

I live in a townhouse and plan to set my tent in my room. How would you set up a ventilaiton system given that i probably can't drill any holes in the walls, or without my neighbors knowing?

I live in a townhouse too and have a 6'6"x6'6"x6'6" mylar tent
I have 1 6" inline fan (powerful but noisy) blowing air into the tent through the bottom vent, and another fan the same sucking air through 3 cool tubes, these fans are only on when the lights are.
I also have 2 4" fans (also strong but noisy) 1 blowing air in at the bottom, and 1 sucking air out at the top, I leave these on 24/7.
I have them on 12/12 9pm to 9am to help reduce heat. (summer here atm)
But it still gets hot in there, so I have to leave all the windows open.
I want to set up my fans with ducting to blow hot air directly outside and do the same with the inlet.
But I have 2x400 hps and 1x600 hps..
That's what I have come up with so far after a very hot summer and temps around 105F, (40C)
If there are more suggestions I'd like to hear them as well.:bigjoint:

hey man is there any way you could put a pick up of your tent? i'm wondering if i should drill a hole in the ceiling to vent in the attic.
Man I would love to do that, it would certainly solve a lot of problems,
but I rent, so I can't.
It's just a standard tent with 2x 6" vent holes at the top and 1 at the bottom,
but I also have a fan connected to ducting that I put through the bottom of the zippered entrance. I haven't cut any extra holes, have thought about it though.:bigjoint:

so you don't actually have ventilation going out side, just outside the tent?

How many girls do you got at once veg/flower? I'm now going to run 4 4' ft cfl, and a 1000w HPS. i can't make up my mind if i want to split a 4'x4'x6' ft tent in half, buy two 2'x4'x6' tents, split a 6'x'6x6, or just get a three ft rubbermaid cab and use 2' floro's. I'm buying everything this tuesday, i'm gonna have to decied fast.

I think we can cut a hole in the dry wall in the ceiling for ventilation. My bro is a carpenter and he said he could do it. Then to fix it up you just get a piece of dry wall cut it to size..kinda the same way like if someone punched a hole in the wall.

No I dont have it going outside, I did have the exhaust vents attached to the window but you could see it from outside. But it's upstairs so I leave all the windows open 24/7. The exhausted air is quite hot.
