Ventilation and cooling

My grow room is 3X5 feet and I use a 400 W HPS. The Temp fluctuates between 80 F and 84 F and I am a little worrid about that. I am currently cooling the room with a fan that is blowing towards the light from about 4 feet away.

Any advice on better ways to cool the room or get rid of some of the heat from the light so I can keep the light closer to the plants? my reflecter is a 'non cooling' one.

try another fan, but this time place it as close to the plants as possible, facing away from the plants/lights. this way you can have one fan strengthening the stems and bringing in fresh air. Then the fan sucking air away from the plants will hopefully pull out some of that hot air. This will work only if the rest of your house has cooler air to be circulated.:joint:

your best bet is to get a reflector that has a heat vent on it to hook a fan up then you can get the light real close as long as you front the reflector with glass.
