Vented Hoods can save your Grow's life!

Ever had a bulb explode? Last night I had a 1000w hortilux decide it was on strike! It had blown up inside burning a hole through the glass casing. Then it occurred to me, vented hoods don't just cool your grow, they are an added safety feature too

. With the extra glass shield you really do add fire protection.
Super thankful for quality gear, (even though $30 bat wings do tempt me)

I think the moral of that tale is; Don't mess with 1000W bulbs.

I can't see myself ever using 1KW systems, no matter how much space I have. IMO much better to go with the 600W for so many reasons.

your not supposed to have the glass on unless you are cooling with an inline fan.. my buddy has had 3 bulbs explode this way. with the 3 bulbs he could of just bought an inline fan lol.

if you can keep your room cool enough, wings are way better than hoods IMO. and because there is no glass confinement , they wont explode.
