vegging time

how long is long enough for vegging time im at about 5-6 weeks and thinkin about flowering soon should i wait or do it now? my plant is like 3 or so feet tall.

It's really up to you... If you think your plant is tall enough start flowering... they will at least double in size during flowering so keep that in mind. You could start flowering as soon as the first true leaves show... So do your thing.

What type of weed is it sativa or indica, indicas need 6 weeks of veg before flowering

There is SO much conflicting information on this stuff it is just UNREAL.

There is conflicting information because there are so many variables. You'll veg longer from seed than from clone. You'll veg longer for indicas than sativas. You'll veg longer or shorter depending on the size of your room and/or box. You'll veg longer or shorter depending on the strain's stretch when put into flower, etc.

That I understand. But there are conflicting suggestions, all else equal, too.

You can veg Indicas relatively shortly (I usually go 20-25 days with my Indica dominants), so 6 weeks is not at all necessary. I pull in usually 1-1.75oz per plant so it's not bad and it gets my bud ready for smoking in ~80 days.

How tall are these plants? I'd be fuckin' pissed off at 2 oz from a plant.

Well, at the time I stated this (a year ago) I was growing with limited space--and maxed around 21-24inches tall with 3 or 4 plants in a 2x3ft area 4 feet tall. So 3-4 plants yielding between 1 and 2oz at 2ft tall was good enough for me and my girl.

If you want more, and you have the space to do it, then by all means go for a few more weeks, I was stating that if you you have space/time restrictions, then vegging for 3 weeks (+~1wk for seedling) with a short-flowering indica can be rather rewarding--of course this all depends on how vigorous the plant is, I usually flowered at 5-7 internodes.
