Veggin Buds? Good Idea or no.

I heard (or misunderstood) that if you force budding and then veg some more the plant will grow buds while its veggin again so i was wonderin if this is true and if it is is it a good idea. will my plant turn herrmie? will it kill it? or is it a good idea and will work? Any help?

It will revert to veg after making a bit more bud. There's no advantage and yes, you are taking risks.

some ppeople swear by a reveg and there are some very good threads about it on RIU.

i don't see anything wrong with it. i'm definately going to try. maybe you get a nicer smoke from a mother who's been through several harvests?

I dont think he was talking about revegging a plant, I think he ment turn it to 12/12 for a few weeks then back to 18/6 for a few weeks.

(reply to M Blaze) I wanted to do it because if the plant is buddin while veggin mabey it would veg all year untill fall and produce a shit load of buds. I it did work i would have a years growth of bud instead of 50 days of bud. no wt i mean. Mabey some1 who tried already can shed some lite.

i thought it wouldn't work but pot has surprized me many times I had a plants stalk hangin by the thread of its skin and i taped it up and it was fine(it hermmied but lukely it didnt have male/female buds together and i could pick off the male parts. Wooo Hoo

Sorry its just a habit on these forums if ya know what I mean. Im all for women growing, after all when ever I have a problem with my plants that im unsure of the first person I turn to for answers is a women.

They are very tough plants and broken and split stems can be repaired with minimal stress but I just dont think that what you are asking will be possible to grow decent buds.

Yea i guess i am one of the few chick growers, i have been smoking for 9 years and y waste money when you can grow better fresher herb ya no :leaf:

When my plants stalk broke my neghbor ranit over w/ a lawnmower it was young so the stalk snaped and clung for dear life for half a day. :finger:

I was screamen an cussin i almost cryed but it hadnt started wilting yet and thought it was save able. thnk god it was :-P

that plant got me soooooooo high!! :bigjoint:

My neighbor was about 80 at the time and couldn't see, mowed right over a 4' purple african about 4 wks into flower. Oh well. I thanked him for mowing my field and now grow where the mower can't reach.

I salvaged about 10 grams. It was pretty well chopped up.
