Vegetative Stage---When to start the clock

What does your plant look like when you officially identify Day One of the vegetative stage?

Also, at what point do you top the plant?

there small, start of veg is as soon as they sprout up. most people veg for 6 weeks some longer some shorter I have put plants as young as 2 weeks into flowering before with good results. Have fun !
PS I don't top my plants so I can't help with that..

As fssalaska said, as soon as they sprout its called the vegetative stage. You can give them 12/12 from seed but they will still go through a somewhat vegetative stage till they are big enough to flower. I let mine veg for 4 weeks before going 12/12 although I am seriously thinking about trying 12/12 from seed.

Oh and when it comes to topping you could do it during the veg stage after it has at least a set of 5 point leaves but i do mine about a week into the flowering stage.

I just built a wardrobe grow, my plants are 4 week old from seed. I'm thinking I should put them to flower soon?

that looks mighty nice. 4 weeks is when I put my plans into flower mode. You could veg for longer and get higher yields tho. How are you managing your temps/odor?

I just did an experiment and vegged one for 3 months, one for 1/12 months, and one from the day I saw roots from clone.

The 3 month one is fucking huge, and buds are dence really dence but not as trichy.
The 1/12 one is a desent size but would rather have the 3 month old one. very nice buds with good size and trich.
The one day of rooted is obviously the smallest but did catch up and is the sweetest smelling one and looks like the buds will be the best.

Pick your Date of Veg. I'd say Veg for 3-4 weeks and have fun growing. if you have a bunch then do a SOG and hit it 12/12 in one week. will be the best smokke with the large amount.

Where did you learn that Veg starts as soon as they sprout?? Incorrect mate, you need to leave them on 18 and 6 until you see 4 or 5 fingered fan leaves, THEN YOU START VEG

Time is abstract nothing is real hahahahaha. On a side note I put a clock in my room so my plants know what time it is. Sad thing is it didn’t seem to help.

^ If I did count veg it would start when they get the fifth node. Then I top them at the third node (if I notice)
