Vegetation Stage Lighting options

Obviously you want a higher/blue spectrum as opposed to a lower/yellow/orange spectrum when it comes to growing in the vegetation stage.

However is there such a thing as too high for the blue spectrum?

I'm planning on getting a MH Conversion bulb for my HPS fixture and found a nice one by Sunmaster but it's at 6500K. Is this too high of a K rating to vegetate on, or will it work as well and a 5k or 5700k light?

it will work fine. ive never heard of too much kelvin in a bulb to harm the plant,

that's the highest kelvin rated bulb on the market today...and the best temp you want to veg at...I run 6500k Cfls as supplement lighting and works great!
