yes, some people opt to do that but really it is no to great advantage that has been proven. The clear disadvantage is the plants have no down time (in which they tend to do most of their growing or growth spurts) and u will have a higher electricity bill.

no, its okay to try it out, it will not hurt the plants in any way, although personally if I wanted to experiment with this it would be only with clones. Reason being: one of the ways u can improve ur chances of having female plants from seed is by opting for a little less light. light between 14-16 hrs. in veg, compared to 18-6, tends to produce more females...so the experts say And again, there has been no proven benefit to 24 hr. lighting.
