veg ?????

okay this is the prob i was gonna start with clones but my guy said he couldn't get any so i bought seeds and started 4 of them they sprouted yesterday now he said he has my clones. is there any way i can keep the seeds veging under low light??? i want them to grow slow so i can make a run with the clones growing in a 3x3x6 tent 400 watt hps or should i try growing all 8 at the same time

as long as the seeds are not autos you should be able to veg them as long as u want. GL

you can veg for 1000 years if you want to just don't change the lights to 12-12 from what I understand

thanks guys but what i want to know is can i veg with low light like say 2 23 watt cfls per plant enough to keep them vegging slow till the clones are done flowering

it really doesn't matter what light you use all a lower watt light will do is give you less lux and make your plants grow slower. I guess I just don't know what you would want to veg "slo" unless you have a space issue. The bigger you get them in veg the more weight you will get from you plant in the end

yea I guess so, in general, less light = photosynths = less growth, keep em under some high Kelvin bulbs (6500K) and on 18/6 never under 13 hrs of light ..

if it was me I would keep Veg em wile flowering your clones, and then take clones of the best looking of em and keep her as a mother and flower the new clones (do all this doing flowering so you have nice Vegged clones ready to go in after harvest)

the rest, well give em away, flower em under the CLFs or try to squeeze em in there some how ? or plant em in your friends front yard (doing night time of course)

The posts above kinda answer your question. How much are the seeds worth and how special are they to you? If they were bag seeds, I would just toss them, might be hermes or males for that matter.

You can veg a plant for a really long time under low light like you’re asking and cutting back on food and water will help slow the stretch that comes with low light conditions, also a toping or trimming will help with the size of the plants after veg’ing for 8 to 10 weeks that will be needed to finish the other clones.
Veg’ing seeds for 8 week and allowing to grow untamed, the result is going to be 6 to 8 footers after the stretch from switching to 12/12, are you able to grow 8 footers? Or it’s time to go shopping and splurge on all that new grow equipment you have been wanting and start perpetual grows. 2 cfls will not be enough light after 4 weeks.

You could also grow the seeds out for a few weeks and after they are a foot high put them into flower with the clones, the possibilities are endless.
