Veg Under a T-5?

Hey there everybody,new to indoor and on a budget grow.i have a 400 watt and a t-5 setup.i was wondering if i could get away with veging under the t-5 then throwing into flower with my 400 watt.any help is much appreciated.thanx

That's a perfect idea. Make sure the T-5 bulbs are grow bulbs. Blue. Keep it 3-6 inches from the tops of the plants. The 400 watt should be a HPS lamp. Keep it about a foot away if it's vented.

i use t-5 (cuts down on the heat from an MH bulb) for veg and now mom's too

You just described my setup.
the only addition is I supplement my 400 with T5 side lighting as well.

T5's are super legit They do put off some heat which is great in the winter.

t-5s are great for veg. They produce tighter nodes and an overall bushier plant.
