Veg question and SCROG question

Ok, so if I had my plants in Veg for a longer time, would that produce more bud?? Of course it would take longer, but time isnt much of an issue for me.
I figured, the more you veg it, the more spots for buds to grow. Am I right or way off in left field?

Second, can someone direct me to a site or give me a quick run down of what SCROG is?

Yes. Vegging your plant longer results in more node sites for flowers. SCROG is just to put a wide screen over your grow and as the branches grow out just bring them through the screen openings and let the tops be exposed to more light,thus you end up with more tops that are fat ass bud colas!!

Well, I see a lot of people using SCROGs for micro grows, why is that??

Scrog is really only pratical on smaller grows, it is done to increase overall yeild over the Sog method.

If you tried to scrog a 100 plant garden you would have a hell of time getting in there to water and deal with the plants..

The biggest scrog I have seen was 8 feet by 8 feet and that was really pushing it.
