Veg light for 2x 600w HPS?

Should I go with T-5's or 1 or two MH lamps for my perpetual grow?

i flower under 2x600w hps and veg under 1x600w mh. my hps bulbs are hortilux and my metal halide is ushio. i run an 8 week veg and this suits my needs quite well.

edit: i have a third location with a T-5 for cloning and seed starting. once they fill out a 1gal pot under the T-5 i transplant to 10gal and put them under the 600 halide.

If I bumped to 3 600w hps.. Do you think a 600 and 400 mh and a t-5 setup would give my 600's some nice beefy plants for flowering?

it has been several years since the last time i used an hid lamp smaller than a 600 and i have never grown with a 400 halide, so i cant say 100% but if it were me i would veg with 2x600 in that setup. i think it is very unlikely you would end up saying "gosh i wish i was running 200 watts less..." unless heat is an issue.

I'm most likely going to start out with two 1000w hps for flowering, actually. Would you prescribe more than a 600w mh to support a 2k flower room?

depends on how long you wanna veg and how many plants you wanna veg at once but i would say in most cases a 600mh would get it done.
