veg info???

i have a seed starter kit my plants are getting tall how tall do they need to be before i take them out of the seed starter kit and move them into soil ???

No over watering no under watering, no nutes until the cotlyedon leafs turn yellow.
Take your time, she will grow with vigor once she gets past the seedling stage.

how will i know when to add nutes?? when all the leaves turn yellow or just 1?????? i am going to go with 5-1-1 fish fertilizer the alaska brand??

A lot of this is going to depend on the type soil you plan on growing them in. When you say "My plants are getting tall"...what do you consider tall? IMO, I feel new growers tend to "rush" on the ferts...I see so many over fertilized young plants! I don't use seed starter kits, so I don't know exactly what you have, but generally once the baby plant's roots are outgrowing their pot or recepticle, then it's time to up-grade to a larger pot. I generally wait until the seedlings are about 3-4" before putting them into a soil like Fox Farms or Root Organics...both of these soils are fortified with things your plants will love. At this point, liquid ferts should be used carefully, as over ferting can be just as detrimental as under ferting (IOW, can stunt your plant's growth). Always start out with a lesser strength than the bottle recommends, and slowly raise the strength (all the while keeping a close eye on how your plant reacts to the increase) until you get to that "sweet spot". Generally starting at 1/4th the recommended dose is preferred. Remember - your plant's nute capacity will increase as the plant gets bigger. Most folks add nutes every other watering. IMPORTANT - if you don't have a PH meter to test your water and nuted water - you will want to buy one ASAP. 6.5 PH will be what you want to shoot for in a soil grow.

Also, a lot will depend on the strain of MJ you are raising. Some strains like and can withstand high nutrient amounts, others would burn to a crisp. It's all about keeping a close eye on your plants and knowing what to look for as far as their needs. Spend as many hours as you can reading this site...see where other folks have made mistakes, so you won't make them yourself.

thanks for the info well my plant is 3 inch tall and i have organic soil and a hand ful of perlite i threw in to the soil and mixed real well i watered the soil real well and i waited for the water to drain out its nice and moist i am growing some white widow from amsterdam has anyone has nice buds off the white widow inside soil grow now the longer i wait before i flower i will get more yield ???or no?? how much weight can i get from 1 full grown ww plant??

Just to elaborate a bit ~ When the fake leaves turn yellow that means that the plant has used up all the nutes it was born with (starter nutes) thats when you start 1/4 dose.

I use starter plugs or rapid rooter plugs until sprouted, then I go with a 16oz cup of FF light warrior, then after 2-3 weeks I move up to a 1 gal then after a month or so 3gallon then 2 weeks before 12/12 (9-11 weeks veg) I might do a 5 gallon.

The reason I move from small to large is because the roots grow straight down/straight out, until they hit a wall then they cover the wall, or run circles. Once they have filled out a 16 os cup I move them to a 1gal and now there is a mass of roots in the middle of container and new reaching for bounderies. By the time they reach there final container there will be a nice core of roots.

I fert every watering, in veg could be every/every other day, and in 12/12 it's every day.

My current fab 4 ~ 36 days in 12/12
New York Special in back (predicting 8oz)
Northern Lights right side (3-4oz)
Skunk #1 left side (4-5 oz)
Violater Kush front (2-3oz)

WW will put out a heavy yeild and the longer you wait the bigger the yeild and more potent the plant.
My are veged 11 weeks. But by 8 weeks plant should be mature. Wait at least 9 weeks.

Haven't grown WW yet, but under optimal conditions, the yield should be close to the seed bank's estimate...most all the seed banks show these stats on their sites. As far as prolonged veg periods - of COURSE you will get more yield if the plant is bigger before you put into flower!
I know I've seen some TREES on this site produce a couple of pounds EACH plant (for proof of a kickass indoor grow, check out an M Blaze grow journal).
Now what YOU get as far as yield is going to depend on a lot of different things...what type of soil you use, your knowledge on the usage of ferts, what TYPE of ferts you use, your room temps and humidity, your LIGHTING...I could go on and on here. The most important thing I could tell you to do right now, is pack a nice bowl, sit back, and read this site every spare minute you've got.

so for a real nice yield what do you recommend how many weeks (veg) and how many weeks to flower before i cut and then harvest/cure i was wondering how much i will get to smoke baby???? cant wait to smoke the ww is it the shit??

Go with the minimum time line, so veg for 8 weeks, flower 8-9 weeks. Cure 14 days.

yes that is like what i am doing on my free time i am thinking of building my own hydroponics system i like the ones where you have pvc pipe and hole cut out in the top of it man looks like you can grow like 25to 30 plants in those things but likw what would you move your plants into when they start getting big you know????
