veg AND flower nutes combined?

Hello all,

I'm thinking of splitting strength on a 10-60-10 flowering nutes, because GROWFAQs says thats nutrient abuse (not enough N), and adding split strength of my veg nutes to use thru my flowering period. Any problems with that?

The 1st 2 to 3 weeks of flowering is when the plant does the majority of its growth, it is also when you hear most new growers complain of yellowing leaves.

This is because they switched over completely to flowering nutes. You want to continue your vegging nutes into the flowering phase for the 1st 2 or 3 weeks.
Peace

true, true. And I have continued my veg nutes into flowering these first two weeks. and now i'm ready to switch to flowering nutes but the one i have is 10-60-10 and now I read that this is not the best nute mix. (not enough N, too much P)

so, I thought I'd combine my veg and flower nutes (split their strengths) for an even proportion of nutes. Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Proper Nutes are always worth the extra cash, Fox Farm works great and is relatively inexpensive (except their dry nute line, but it's not necessary). You will be grateful you spent the cash.

hey i know it has been a long ago post, but when you switched your nutes to flowering nutes, did you stop with the veg nutes?

Use veg nutes through the start of 12/12 through the stretch, then split 1/2 flower and veg for a feeding or two, then straight flowering food.
