Various Questions

Well at the moment I have one plant on the go since I was unable to get ahold of more seeds (more coming in 2 weeks though) and I only have one year left of Uni so I don't want anything big yet since I will be moving shortly. So for now it will be small but I do have a couple of questions below:

1) I am off to buy some CFL lights today, what do you recomend I buy assuming I am going to grow 2-3 plants?

2) I have germinated my seed and planted it on May 7th and had been getting sunlight from my window. What has happened is that it has a stock of about 5" and the leaves haven't really grown in yet. How big of a problem might thios be and is there anything I can do? Other then that it does look healthy though.

3) Lastly, I have heard people say that it should have lighting 24/0 and others say 18/6, any recomendations??

Thanks for any information you can provide me with.

The first thing is I would say GET THOSE LIGHTS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I've just started also, but mine are only about 3" tall and the third set of leaves has already started coming out. I'm using 4-24" T5 Sun Blaze lights that have 8000 lumens. I am growing at 24/24 constant lighting through the veg stage. My only concern is balancing my nutes (nutrients).

First pic is at 10 days, second is 16 days.

Good luck...to us both

Cover the stalks with dirt all the way up to the bottoms of the leaves. I would get one 42 watt cfl for each plant placed 2 to 3 inches from the top of the plant...you will need more later but for now one will do each plant. And I would go with 18/6 make sure its dark for the 6. also a small fan to give them a slight breeze.

later get more cfls as they get bigger

you should be concerned about how you gonna repot this plants into a single pots each ;) just my fuckin opinion
Really...I see a major plant kill about to happen...I just had some root damage to my 2nd biggest indica...amazing plant 3" tall and 9 fan leaves, now it's stopped growing....no obvious damage. I'm hoping it's only stressed and will revive itself. Please, please, please. You don't always realize how big the root's can be and how fast they spread..........Hope it works out :)

I planned all this out before I found this site. Yes, I now realize I should have planted 1 plant per pot. I had planned on removing at least 2 plants (thinning the heard) by just cutting the stalks, not removing all the root system to hopefully reduce stress. But the reason for the multi-grow is to first get females to clone and end up with a decent harvest the first time, and then to grow female clones at 1 per pot thereafter. I now know I will end up with a smaller yield per plant, but it's too late to restart them properly unfortunately.

It's all SCHOOL man.......growing is a lot of work....yet easy, when it clicks....I had 3 plants grow to 4ft each out of 1 container.....the big pain in the ass was it kept tipping over, as they all went in different directions..........

Thanks for the comments. I did buy a 42W and two 27W CFL's for just over 600 Lumens. I am still trying to search this online so maybe I will find this before someone responds but is would 80CRI 6500K be the right spectrum that I am looking for??

Also, would covering most of the stem in soil be ok since I have about 3"-4" of it before any foliage be okay?

TIA once again

I've done some reading and it appears that 3500K is pretty useless, would I be correct with that kind if thinking?

Secondly, I also read that some people use a blue and red spectrum CFL during veggitation, is that something I should do or just stick with my 6500K's?

TIA....again
