Probably a pretty surreal experience to be sitting on a beach there envisioning Christopher Columbus' armada floating the waters in the bay, making contact with the new world for the first time. Then envisioning a quarter million Arawak Indians dead.

They gave (almost) as good as they got. We gave them measles and they repaid the compliment with syphilis.
