UV CFL's, Are They Worth Adding To The Mix?

I have a CFL grow and read that UV lighting can be beneficial. Should I incorporate UV CFL's in my design?

I have been interested in the same thing. I can only assume that any UV source will help improve the grow, but I always wondered if anyone had any real-world results using them.

I've been using CFL's for 2 years now since I had to give up my large grow and have had great results. Since I'm starting a new grow and was looking at CFL's on line and ran up on this....

I've been using uvb bulbs for awhile ....I say their a waste of money.Too much money and not enough uv for our purposes.All cfl bulbs put off a small amount of uv light anyway,I don't think uv light from a cf bulb would be strong enough for any significant increases in trichome production.
At least I haven't seen any difference at all.




That blacklight would be worthless it emits uv-a light ........good for checking if theres piss stains on a matress,not for growing weed
Your looking for a uvb bulb.They have them at Wal-Mart and most pet stores.It's like $30 bucks for just one 150w uvb!
