what do you guys think about the overall increase in THC percentages? Is it just more propaganda to keep the current unjust laws in place?

"It clearly is addictive" :(
that's up for debate, but cigs and alcohol are addictive beyond any reasonable doubt, so when do we start throwing people in jail who make, produce and use those products?

According to that article, only 1.7% of Americans smoke marijuana?? I can assure you, that number is WAY too low to be right.

1.7%? Seems low but once you factor out the young (I don't mean those stoner teens), the elderly, the infirmed, etc, etc, that percentage would go up. A more relevant statistic is what percentage of ELIGIBLE adults smoke pot. My wild-assed guess would be close to 25%.

BTW, last night the Mrs and I were walking our dog. We live in a nice quiet suburban middle class neighborhood. A car drives up and a dude (looks like late teens, early 20s) comes out of the house sits in his car for a minute and comes out with a small package wrapped tightly. They saw us and started acting all weird. The Mrs and I had a good chuckle about how obvious it was what was going down. I do the same thing myself when I am picking up my refill from my guy.

I'd say less than 10% of guys my age smoke pot (I'm 39). In fact, none of my friends who are close to my own age smoke pot anymore that I know of. Then again, I smoke pot and none of them knows it, so maybe they do too and they just lay low about it like I do? lol

It's the capolist lobyist trying to keep hemp out of the market place and don't forget the drug company's.

Weed has more and better uses then the peanut.

Watch the movie waiting to inhale. The human body has more thc receptors than can be counted. Trillions and still counting trillions. The human body was designed to respond to thc and nobody knows why. The goverment is afraid to find out why. It would put the drug company's in a major bind.

Just think our clothes would be cheaper and last longer and be softer. We would no longer need chemical made rope and other simular products.

The oils could be used for fuel in cars and homes. The oils would be safe to cook with plus there are no fat producing by products. It's healthier for you.

Hemp per acre makes more paper than wood and can be replaced every year.

Like the bible says every plant bearing seed is to be used for food. The same people saying that they up hold God's law are the same people saying God is wrong concering weed. These people are fucked up more than us.

Just think of all those people using drugs like Zoloft to alter mood swings has been in court several times for causing people to snap and doing stupid shit like kill people and suicide. The only side affect to weed is it makes you feel good.

I have a friend whos's wife put her foot down the drinking has to go. So it did. His Dr. put him on zoloft to help get off Booze. One day he didn't take the medicine and when he got home she was bitching again. By the time he realized he was choking her she was dead. His first and only violent act. He will never get out of prision.

Weed has no recorded bad anything ever. It has never hurt anyone.

Our country quit being democratic when Kennedy was killed. Now all we have is this fucked up capitalist shit and they are going to do what the bank says. The bank says that hemp is a threat to thier livelyhood. The bank said they wanted Bush for president.

This internet is going to get more and more people educated. Our numbers are growing fast. It will take nothing less than a revolution to change it. I hope it's a peaceful one.

The way the goverment get their numbers

example unemployent

The unemployment was real high in our area. Big news and big talk in the time the jobs were going over seas. Six months later the numbers started changeing and the media says see our jobs are safe. The unemployment rate quit going up now it's steady. What they didn't report was that in six months the unemployment run out. Now we have some homeless and alot more drawing food stamps. They only report the number drawing unemployment. Don't worry your jobs are safe. Some 8 year old over seas is doing it for you. He gets one bowl of rice per day for doing it. His dad gets a bowl of rice to and all he has to do is make sure the 8 year old goes to work. If somebody is starving to death you can make them do anything and keep their mouth shut with just one bowl of rice. Go bank go. Lets build a tv for a bowl of rice dump the waste in the kids back yard and sell the tv at walmart for $200. and make millions. Wake the fuck americia some day were going to have to pay for all that. Some bright soul says don't worry about it. By then we'll be gone. Thats how the goverment look at it. Like Bush said it started on my watch but it will end on yours. I don't want to pass my problems to my kids.

When I was growing up there was no such things as homeless. That number is growing fast. You can't drive through a major city any more with pushing them out of your way. The shining light of things to come.

Thing is, if the 8 year old didn't have the job, they would be getting 0 bowls of rice per day. To us the glass is half empty, to those that get to eat a bowl of rice each day because they have a job the glass is half full.

Im 20 and live in europe, of my closest 9 male friends, 5 smoke up (that i know of for sure, 2 others its very possible. These are people from 4 different groups so its not just my group of stoner friends, then itd be obvious they all smoke. I really dont know a lot of people who havnt tried before and form all those that have none are addicted, especially those who decided to just try it once.

The article is just another boost of false information that will assure parents for another few months or so that drug laws are good and marijuana bad.

Wow, and thats exactly how I view every god damn adult out there looking at me like I am a piece of shit because I smoke weed. I personally believe that majority of younger and older adults are brainwashed, they want to be.. Its these kind of people that don't have a clear open mind and need somebody else to make justifications like this to make people like us look bad.

You know, not even right out of my own mouth, but from the mouths of alot of late 20's early 30's adults that ive spoken to who have claimed on several occasions that some of the best people that they have ever known have been the people who smoke pot. Now anybody of any authority over this that looks at what I said and want to believe that I made this statement saying Marijuana makes better people.. No.. Thats not what im saying..

Everybody just needs to look past what ever bullshit their faithful country is telling them, and make up a decision of there own based on what they know.. not what they hear.. Its sad and disapointing that people in this world allow themselves to be like this and oblivious to the fact that its happening.

Id say theres no doubt in those people who actually know what marijuana is by trying it frist hand that it is better than using alcohol or cigarettes. Like explicitkilla said, people want to be brainwashed and keep any information out of the loop saying otherwise. Its like strictly religious people not wanting to hear of any evidence of evolution and make up they own counter evidence as a last resort. Fact is we and many others know marijuana, when used in a responsible manner is not a bad thing, but it will take much more time before any governer or president will change the laws because even if they are for it, they know that the voting people will vote against them.

That which is popular within the group of people in power will always win, thats why soccer moms and old fashioned dads that think anything at all banning drugs will make their kids safer will still continue to make up the rules.

Thank you for reading my post. I respect your comment. I too am part of the problem and am damn sick of it. All of us are sucked in by goverment lies. The amazing thing is now that we know we just keep doing. And that leaves me to think who is realy at fault. Who works for who. Or like AC/DC said who made who. Think about it. What we think don't line up with what is.

I've been smoking weed off and on for fifty four years. Listen up youngsters :) ... the weed today is NOT as strong at the weed of yester-year. What that article is, is government propaganda, spewed out to garner support for their failed drug war. Americans are waking up to how low the harm from pot is, and also that it can be beneficial from a medical standpoint. There's a ton of money and power at stake that will be lost by our criminal justice system if weed is ever legalized. Consider this ... here in California, when Proposition 215 (the medical marijuana bill) was on the ballot, the Correctional Officer's (prison guard's) Union was the largest contributor of money in the effort to get the bill defeated.

I also do not believe that pot is addictive in the usual sense of the word. Smoking weed is an enjoyable experience ... and as humans, we like to repeat enjoyable experiences. I love to ride roller coasters. I find roller coasters an enjoyable experience. Would I kill myself if roller coasters disappeared tomorrow? Nope. Same with pot.
