if you are moving outdoor plants that are in mid flower indoors because of weather problems and the fact that you just got a new light, do you have to set the timer to shut the lights off at the same time it currently gets dark? or can you set it fto shut off a couple hours later for your convenience?

the only time theyre going to see a couple hours more light is the first night you put them indoors. im just wondering if this will mess up the flowering cycle/put them back into veg.

thanks a lot hopefully ill figure this out before the sun goes down.

live, laugh, make love

if they are flowering you might want to give it no more than 12 hrs of light and 12 hrs of darkness, so it all depends on how many hours they where getting from being outdoors and at what time they started receiving light and what time they would get complete darkness so try your best to estimate at what time to have to lights go on and go off, mind you its easier to get a plant from indoors to put it outside than it is to put in a plant thats been outdoors. remember 12on 12off is what you might want to aim for,

i am going to set the timer at 12/12 no doubt. im just wondering if it has to turn the lights off at the same time as it currently gets dark. i would rather the lights go off a little later than that, so the first day indoors would be a little longer depending on what time i want the lights to go off. would this mess up the flowering cycle considering they are in mid flower?

i know this is a little confusing but somebody has to understand what im asking...

no dont make the dark any longer than what it was, if it was more than twelve just bring it down to twleve when you bring it inside, and yeah you well mess up the plant if you put in more light than what it was already receiving outdoors, so just keep it at twleve, and turn the light on whenever the plant started seeing light outdoors. thats all man, so good luck with ur little girl.

I would make it dark at the same time. It will stress the plant to change the cycle and will cause stunted growth and you wont get full potential in your yield.

yeah i decided to just turn the light off when the sun went down tonight, just to be on the safe side. thanks a lot for the suggestions everybody.
