suppose a carbon filter and all that expensive stuff isn't an option for you

what would you go with

1. odor absorber
2. odor neutralizer
3. odor eliminator
4. odor eliminator crystals

which ones out of those 4 you think would do the job?

i currently have an odor neutralizer (ona gel - fresh linen) and that seems to mask it idk?

i been thinking of doin the bucket thing with fan on top that i seen on here b4. but before that i been thinking about absorbers.

It just depends on your situation.
If no one is near your grow no one will smell it.
Odor control should be considered before lights are purchased.

How many plants are you planning?
What will be your ventilation?
Do other people live with you?

If you dont tell them; without true odor control, they will find out.

Dont skimp on odor.
It DOES get out of hand if not taken seriously.
and dude, smell gets most people busted.
Besides of course loose lips.

ps. If you check my link in my sig you can find a cheap stand alone scrubber.

Now THAT"S a great idea for a diy project!

My GF doesn't smoke or toke so I used her as a sniffer.........I had a small grow (4 plants) and used a diy carbon filter to exhaust into the next room....still had a prob....then I started using glade plug ins...slide'em into the center of cfls.....this changed the odor of the skunk pretty well.....next step I wanted to mask even more......cut an appropriately sized hole in top of an old shoe box......taped a puter fan over the hole.....punched holes in the box to assure airflow in......got a pint tupperware bowl ....filled it with 50/50 fabuloso/water....put it in box under fan.....within 5 minutes odor gone....very fresh.....this method allows you to change your odor easier... very effective as my autos were really stinking up the place and my small diy carbon filter wasn't handling the increased smell....

i already started growing, got 5 plants in flowerin mode, i live in a commercial apt building. and once it was so strong u can smell it in the halls. lucky i took action quick and sprayed it. but now i have ona gel which is somewat decent. im curious on wut i mentioned wud be best, becuz i cant afford the carbon fan thing.

Univ like I said before. It can get out of hand.
If you cant spend the $100 then you really have to stay on top of the ona.
But at $30 a bucket you could have a scrubber that is more effective.
But whatever you asked a question and I tried to help you out the best i could.
Odor control should be your number one priority before how well you plants are going.

I would rather have starved plants in a safe environment
Than robust plants with hardly any odor control.
But its your call.
Stay safe

Yea im in the same boat as well.

Im purchasing a 4" inline duct fan, and i have to find a way to rig it to my light so it doesnt turn my closet into an oven.

Ive got the ducting, which will blow the air under my house.

Im going to use it to vent to heat at first, but when they start to smell up the place, im goin to go with a carbon filter.

Seems like its the only way to get rid of all the stink.

Pluss i have to vent the air out anyway.
