You should be because if you dont your lights will go out and your plants will eat shit sandwiches. Well maybe not but keep the ladies in mind. Grab yourself a UPS. They have 2 hour and 4 hour batteries that i've seen. It will run a computer for those specified ammounts of time. Lights dont take up that much at least not mine.

It doesnt have to. You can also choose to only hook it up to a few lights as emergency backup. It'll be like a cloud system rolled in or something the plants wont be too worse for wear.
