Unusual flowering growth with a micro seed?

I swear I saw a similar topic somewhere on these forums but after searching 11 pages I haven't found anything yet.

3 days ago doing the normal inspection of my plants I found a tiny "seed" approximately 1-2 mm in size. I say seed because for all intents and purposes that is what it looked like. I immediately plucked it off and inspected the rest of the plant for other signs of male characteristics. Other than that mini seed I found nothing.

The unusual thing is this thing was found at a very unusual spot for normal flower production. As you can see in the pictures this flower is at the base of a fan leaf and it appears to be the only example on the plant. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?

At any rate, here's some more pertinent info that may or may not help.

At the time of finding this thing I was on day 27 of 12/12 lighting. Overall day 57 from seed. This particular plant was a "freebie" seed (UFO name I believe) that has been growing nicely otherwise.

This is a hydroponic grow (my first) and this particular plant was under a 250 watt hps lamp. Temps and ph are fairly stable (75-81 F, 5.8-5.9 ph). The only stress this plant received was from pruning about 1/4 of the lower branches in week 2 of flowering. Otherwise the environment has been stable and I've been able to check on them at least once daily.

strange. I've been seeing a lot of buds growing out of fan leaves lately. First I've seen of seeds coming from fan leaves. I have no idea what it means though. Maybe marijuana is attempting to evolve; it knows we are taking care of it, so it's okay to produce more buds.

Yea actually one of the pics is what I picked off of the same exact flowering spot. Looks like a seed but about a 1/5 of the size (battery is an AA).
