I miss the good old days when there were like 5 good TV shows tops and you could only watch them when they aired. This whole thing where there are like 800 good shows you can watch any time is fucking stressful. It almost feels like really enjoyable homework.

“Have you started...”

-Not yet I have to finish...

“Did you see last night’s...”

-No I was catching up on last week’s...

“How good is...”

-That’s next I’m still only on episode 4 of...

Any of you guys remember the episodes this came from

The two part series was “The First”.
I remember being kind of scared when it first aired, which i think was on halloween. Best fucking 2part ever.

Fucking loved that show.

There was just something about committing that seemed good for the soul. Me and an ex gf were just talking about when in HS we all had to choose a place to meet and simply stick to that. Everyone had left their homes and were on the way, there was no way to alter the plan. We used to meet at Grant Park's July 4th Celebration (oddly held on the 3rd, wtf?) every year. A couple of us would get there super early for good lawn real estate, and the one who drew the short straw had to stumble high and drunk to the North end of Buckingham Fountain at the top of every hour. They always brought new people back to the fort, it was cool. No one seems to commit anymore, your offer to do something with someone is only good until a better offer comes along, and that plan is only good until the next one beams through. There's credible studies that show that, to a certain extent, people who have less choice are more content. I get it...
