ultra violet light as a supplement

What is the best way to use uv light as a supplement? Should you use it throughout the entire flowering period, or should you just "shock" the plants with it the last couple weeks before harvest? Also where can I find good uv lights? Are those reptile desert fluorescent lights anygood? Thanks in advance for any help.

go to pet smart in the amphibian aquarium section -- the UVB bulbs have a UVB rating. i got a 10.0 UVB for 17 bucks? and then the light fixture for another 12.

i read in a thread that the UVB is only necessary at a certain point. what i read suggested starting 3 weeks before harvest. on the first day only have the UVB on 4 hours, then 6, 8, 10, and then 12 till harvest.

hope this helps!

I'd suggest ceramic metal halide for UV supplement, as well as the rest of the blue spectrum.

You'll have the stickiest buds ever.
