UK - "sprayed weed" Experiment

Hi Guys,

Those of you living in the UK would have noticed a large influx of what people are calling "sprayed weed" This stuff is different from the glass sprayed weed that was travelling around the USA awhile ago.

We just did a little experiment and found out why the weed is being "sprayed" in the UK.

After watching a YouTube video on how to extract oil from the waste (leaves) of your grow, we decided to give it a go. surprisingly enough we successfully extracted some nice oil from leaves using the butane method. When looking at the leaves after extracting the oil, we was surprised to see that the leaves looked exactly the same as they did before......... This got us thinking: could this be why they bother to "spray" weed ?? Was the "sprayed weed" being stripped of it's oil's and THC content before it was sold ???

We bought some "sprayed up weed" and tested this theory, and these were the results:

When using the butane method on a small amount of crap plants, which had turned hermaphrodite and were pulled out early, the fluid poured out a lovely green colour, after the fluid evaporated we had about 5 nice joints worth of pure cannabis oil.

When using the butane method on some fully grown "sprayed" bud, the fluid came out completely clear in colour, absolutely no oil was gained at all, not even a pinpricks worth. What was extracted was a thick, clear glue, it set hard to the bowel and looked nothing like cannabis oil. A large amount of powdery white residue was also extracted.

So if your wondering why that sprayed up stuff doesn't get you stoned, it's because it has been totally drained of all its natural oil & THC content, before being sprayed with some kind of glue to make it look sticky, and sold on the streets.

Looking at the amount of clear gluey substance that was extracted from a small amount of bud, I am very concerned for peoples health, this stuff is dangerous!! If you live in the UK please share this news to everyone you know.......Avoid this stuff like the plague. There is absolutely no oil or THC content left in it, so you are wasting your money as well as your health.

if people are doing this to the leaves and the trim whats the problem, i only buy bud, they can do what they like to the leaves

Please re-read as you have completely missed the point.......People are doing this to BUD, they are extracting the oil, spaying it with a sticky gluey substance and selling it on with NO THC content......The glue they are spraying it with is dangerous to peoples health!

Good experiment man, a good rule of thumb is to never buy any bud thats been sprayed with anything, because if it needs to be enhanced there's obviously a problem.

yall got some shady ass pot dealers over there bro.... reminds me of the thread on here about 2yrs ago about the 'glass' that was being sprayed on or something to look like crystals. . We get some bullshit weed sometimes, but there is no one doing shit like this around here.

right you tried it on some of your bought bud, if you don't get a hit from the gear your getting, go somewhere else for it, half the gear in britain is fucked about with by greedy dealers/growers.
round by me once it is harvested it's on the street half an hour later, your buying wet weed but at least you know it hasn't been fucked with to make the weight up
first time i've heard about the thc being removed, can't see much of that selling

yeah bro there is so much sprayed up weed in the u.k, it makes me sick now the prices have rocketed and its hard to find good shit

Nice experiment, there's plenty of that shit in my area luckily a few of my friends grow so I just buy from them
