UK House and Garden Van De Zwaan EC/PPM

Alright have been doing some research for my next grow and found something really weird. Was hoping i could get some Advanced experience on this.

Ok i have used this line last time and did not fallow the feed chart to the ec/ppm reading (at first i did but that soon changed), talking to others and seeing there grows every one was running ppm/ec high like 1400 or more mid flower to finish.

Problem is that House and Garden says only to get your ec up to 2.0 max and thats around 1000 ppms on the EC/PPM Chart (thats another thing different meters read different numbers ??) I have a Wizard Dipstick and thats not on that chart.

I was going to try a S.O.G. grow and read some people start at 1100ppmsto1500ppms max ....or..... i saw 1400ppms all the way from first week of flowering tell harvest and thats already above the max ppms H&G say to use

Question - Should i just go with what i have found that others keep there ppm at 1100 to 1400 start of flowering or just go with the chart?? I know it comes down to what i really want to do and what i notice after i do what i do as the grow goes just trying to get some other voices in my head getting tired of mine.:-?

I've been doing some research and to the best of what I can find the ideal ppm is 1200-1800 depending on strain. This was a suggestion from one of Ed Rosenthals books, he seems to know what's up:eyesmoke:
