Hey guys...Im wondering If anyone has ever used these LED UFO lights...ive been told these lights put out the equivalent of a 600 watt hps but use 90watts and these lights can be place much closer to the canopy..im running 6 400w hps at the moment and if these lights are really as capable of doing the job the money and stealth involved in lower bills might be worth a transfer to new set up...any info on these would be great!!

yea DO NOT THINK ABOUT THEM . waste of money. hella heat. spendy . youd be better off with a flourescent worklight.

When I was young Microwave ovens were 500.00 buck a piece..new fangledled shit was a novelty anyway...

Haha...Ya...im not to sure these are the way to go...im most worried that plants on the outer edge of the garden wont recieve ample light...as for a 500 dollar microwave...ill uild a fire..

Hi,

I have been looking into LED grows. I have recently made a stealth cabinet with a combo LED ( 3x 14 watt panels ) and T5 fluros. This is my own little test. I also have a grow room with 1000w MH and 500w of hps that I use for flower. Do your research you will find LED grows are out there and doing well. Yes they are much more efficent not to mention the cooling costs.

I am still flowering with 1500w but I would like to be able to do it with 200w

These are the advantages that draw me to The LED grows....But If its worth an entire setup transformation im not quite convinced....

I think these lights might, MIGHT help. but not by themselves. You still need a good HPS light for flowering.

There is someone in here who uses them. Can not remember his name, it was something like ButtMuncher, or something. Not sure. But I am going to buy some of these lights in a few years when the technology is better and the price has dropped. This is a new technology.

Hey, I think the guys name was BoxMunch.. not really sure of the name,, but I think that is close. He is kind of head strong, and full of Piss, Vinegar, and Bullshit. I still have him blocked so I can not see his messages. I think my nick name for him was Buttmunch. But as I remember, he had some of those lights with a pretty good crop going.

I am sure that someone out here know who I am talking about.
