I have a Alits 40 http://www.alita.com/airpump/index.php in the mail and I have just ordered the C30D-106CN air stones from then as well. http://www.alita.com/diffuser/sintered.php. My question is on the air stones they have 4 options for connections.
1/4" & 1/2" barb
1/2" MPT
1" Spigot
Is any an advantage using larger hose. Could I get more air though. Would my air pump stay cooler and run longer with less back pressure. I have seen that those 6 and 12 port manifolds cause 1 psi back pressure for every .5 gph though each port
.
I know with all the dwc crowd the sky is the limit with air. With all these new stones and huge pumps everyone is
still using 1/4 hose. I need some help from you big pump guys. I wish I could see how some of these fish hatchery's are doing it. Thanks for any help as it is much needed.
P.S I have been looking and searching for about 10 hours so any links pointing me in the right direction would make my day.
