tying after supercropping?

My plant has been stretching. It is a balcony indica, in veg for about 2 months now, rather slow on the growing, but has recently taken a big leap after being fimmed. To compensate for the lack of light in my porch (only 5 hours direct and fall which will lead to unwanted flowering) - I give it some CFL time in the closet come evening, untill midnight or so. The CFL is a nice 85, but obviously not enough to grow at this phase, even when only 2" from the light. So the plant has been stretching. To counter this, I supercropped (you reckon this is a good method for this?) - Then tied it down as bent, to keep it low and keep an even canopy.

Did I do right?
Should I keep it tied, or let it sling up and heal the bending first, then try LST? (The stalks are kinda hard already).

Appreciate your advice

that plant does look a little on the stretched side. keep training her as low as you can get her without breaking the stem but first and most importantly get her somewhere with some light asap. Even if you increase your cfls to three. She is very strehed and needs to recoop.

How come you supercropped so close to the stem?

The problem with CFL is that it's all i can afford, heat-wise, in the closet. So no more light, but it does get 5 hours of direct sunlight.
I really dunno what to do.

I supercropped where i figurered i would get an even canopy and below the stretching point (you can see that the strech begins after the splitting, this is where i began using the cfl)...
would you say it was badly placed?

not so much badly placed just hasnt done much to slow the streching. Lst alone wold have worked nicely. How bendable is your stem? If its still pliable i would suggest bending her over even more and tying her off the main stem to the pot. then you could somehow tie the supercropped shoots round the outside of pot. This will redistribute grwth throughout the lower nodes and give her a nicer bushy look rather than the buzz ligtyear reach for the sky effect

Im not sure if youre going to get much from supercropping with such little amount of light tbh. The main reason people do supercropping is to ensure a good amount of light penetates all foliage and allows maximum bud development but as it stands you dont really have enough light anyway. Cfl is fine man, and if used correctly can get you some good weed. You need to be using at least 200w for a plant and getting the bulbs nice and close up try getting the 6500k daylight variety for vegging and 2600k for flowering.

Heat is not a problem with a fan circulating on the plant and some form of extraction and frsh intake. Just get yourself down lowes and get creative. Look at it this way think of all the money that your saving in the long run not buying from someone else. :joint:
