Two Plant DWC - easy 3 to 4 pounds with 2kW

2kW @ 1 plant per kW

This easily does 3 to 4 pounds dependent on strain. No supplemental CO2 in this room.

These are 25 days into 12/12

Strains are confidential. Ballasts being used are confidential. Bulbs are Super Hortilux. Nutrients are GH Flora base nutrients, CaliMagic and RO H2O.

This is deep water testing in our R&D lab, goal is to test lighting technology.

i've heard of la confidential weed, but not confidential ballasts, lol. how many gallons in the rez's? doing any trimming? why no co2? those look pretty sativa-ish. 4 elbows with 2 1000 watters is not impossible, but not easy either. looking good!!!

Not being a jack ass but what is your point? Is there a reason behind this? Are you trying to sell something, but anyhow... Looking good brother.

We don't lolipop since there are other lights in the room, those bottoms amount to something, and we blast entire harvest for bho sans trimming. Can't sell it so may as well put it into bho for the GRU staff.

Confidence is required as we are under NDA related to testing of the ballasts. Strains are not ones we have released, one of our clients has purchased exclusive rights thus it's not my genetics anymore.

Sorry you're displeased UB. ;) Not really.

Each res holds 20 gallons.

No CO2 in this room. At our labs we have one sealed ac/co2 flower room and one identical but unsealed sans co2 and AC.

what kind of ballasts being used? and u guys r testing light depth correct? i like the idea of this. all these new hoods that are on the market are not penetrating for shit. i like the old cool sun XL reflectors. fuckers penetrate like crazy.

How many days veg? And yup looks like a messy shit load of bud :). Nice, wish that was in my room right now as oposed to nothing lol. I dont do any trimming (lolliepopping) either as I loves my bho too.

Due to a signed nda with the ballast manufacturer, we are unable to disclose the identity of the ballast/s we are testing or the exact purposes of the test. That said, from what I've seen thus far, this tech will hit the market, but currently is in prototype stage. GRU has been contracted to test several iterations of this tech, with several "versions" per testing phase.

The plants are apeshit. That's ok, the goals will be met and the staff will get to share the waxanator v2.0 runs of shatter from the resulting whole plant winterized nug run.

It's like area 51 for HPS tech. We can't confirm or deny what's actually going down tech wise.

Reason for the thread I guess is to answer questions posed by anonymous to see something of the r&d lab. Sorry some may not be impressed "YET" but previous iterations of this tech have been impressive and lower, what would be larf, ends up worthy of acknowledgment.

Reflectors aren't important as all are equal but are old school hydro farm RD's in 8" that have long been our lab "standard".

Note, those previous dwc images are early 25th day of 12/12 on a 70 - 75 day strain. Lots of popcorn now, soon to become, currently becoming, more loggish daily. This trellis will sag under the weight of many colas. :D I know, I've seen me do it. Already tied up a bunch of sagging colas. This strain is noted for dense, big, chronic yield but weak stems. Silicon or not she needs help to hold her fat ass up. Pics follow from elsewhere in the lab, on a table running at about 57 days 12/12, still at least a few weeks to go. Note the trellis sag even though taught. Those are dense.

:peace:

Those vegged for about 2 months, were cut for clones a few times thus making them bushy. I mashed 6 foot tall bushes under the trellis to lst them when moved to the flower room. They since went through two trellis layers. This strain really pops after 12/12, grows like an invasive species.

These are from the ladder looking at one plant of DWC from top downish. Tied up what I can reach thus far. Poppy-corn becoming loggy-ness.

Anyone can get a pound a plant if they veg a long time. What makes something better than the other stuff is pound per plant with less veg. Whats your veg time on those? And were they from clone or seed?

Thats to long for me lol I tend to start running out at about day 20 from the last run lol. It would be nice to get ahead so I could veg longer. Next year I'll get a bunch in the ground to fill the coffers! So is that LA Confidential or a cross? I grew one in soil a few years ago but It didnt live up to the hype.
