I have come across some very interesting stuff and would have to say yes. It's a good site for finding odd things or subjects I wouldn't have search for, there is something to say about the site tracking you/r preferences but for me it's a minimal risk. It's more akin to a huge rolodex of your interests and giving it a good spin at see what spits out...the link in this thread is a good example.
