turtle water in compost tea?

i got 2 gallons of water from my friends turtle pond. he grows in FFOF, and only uses this water to feed them. i think there is a lot of N in this stuff, along with lots of beneficial bacteria. i already poured a gallon of it on all the plants. im wondering if i should pour the other gallon on them as well, or put it in a compost tea with some EWC and dr earth's #5, and let that cook for a day or two.

which do u think would benefit the plants more?

btw, i watered them yesterday, so they dont really need to be watered. this is why im leaning more towards the compost tea. if i let the gallon sit for a day or two, the beneficial bacteria may die and anaerobics may take over

There's always lots of bacteria, both good and bad in stagnant water, even if it's airated. But benefical is the nutrients and the other bacteria in the water. What you're looking at is billions of microbes that will actually aide in the soil's replenishment, causing the roots to swell and the absorbtion of necessary compounds to help the plant thrive. I doubt there would be anything harmful in that aspect other than turtle shit, the only thing to watch out for is if you have an open sore or cut, bacteria can be fatal.

I've heard that rivers, ponds and streams provide the best water, next rain water and lastly dechrlorinated tap water. I say go for it! But the bacteria can be fatal comments is oh too true

appreciate the input guys. i ended up pouring half that last gallon into the tea, and the other half onto the plant. i figured that would be enough of an inoculant. the plants look happy today and the tea is foaming :-P

Ahh the foam lol one time i added extra molasses mid brew and by the end it was making bath tub worthy amounts of bubbles haha. You add anything else, i will routinely add fish emulsion, kelp, epsom salt, molasses, alfalfa and maybe some corn meal for its natural fungicide effect

epsom salt helps supplement magnesium but becareful as with any nutrient you can overdose and cause lockout. The cornmeal thing was something i read that people added to brews and was one of the many things some fella up in alaska was using in his compost teas, he also held multiple world records for largest vegetable so i assumed he probably knew something I didnt. Either way ive made brews with and without it and havent really noticed a difference just thought id add it to the conversation and see if anyone else held an opinion.
