Turn The Lights off Before Harvest????

Wondering if this would help the THC develop at a rapid speed if the plants think they are dying after 8 weeks and three days Darkness.

ANyone did this?
Of course you flush, but also do you flush during this period???
In hydro setup of course.

I dont but im gonna try it... I can tell you that AL B. FUCT anwsered this same question for me about a month ago. He says its on old wives tale.. Ie bullshit...
Theres another guys BONZ that swears by it and kind of talked me into trying it.. Worse case scenerio would be 3 wasted days.. In about a week ill be harvesting one of my girlies.

U should check out uvb lighting for reptiles.. Its supposed really get those trichs goin...
 
I've been doing a bit of reading up on UVB lighting, it seems that we are missing UVB from our grow rooms. A UVB reptile light each side of our cooltubes would give us for more THC.

This is very interesting, he goes on a bit at the start, but the man seems to know what he's talking about.

Yessir..... I will say this if you do get UVB lighting, ur gonna have turn it off every time u step foot in ur grow.. That uvb will have you seeing floaters and flashes in no time..Very harmfull to human eyes...
 
When your on 12/12, set the UVB on a timer for 3 or 4 hours in the middle of your 12 hour light. Then you'll know when to go in.

I don't know Rosey, ppl say flush and others say they don't bother. I grew for years in soil, and i never flushed, and i didn't see any difference.
I've studied hydroponic every day for over 4 months now and i've now set up a DWC system, i will eventually set up a system like Al Bs. Al B doesnt flush! They say flushing plants can't get rid of all nute so I'll just reduce my nutes a week before harvest to say 600ppm an see what happens.
 
Personal experience with this, I do see that my plants are "shinier" when I give them dark for 48 hours before harvest. More important to me, and I believe it since I read it from Arjan Roskum, is putting them into 48 hours darkness before I flip to 12/12.
Also, I grew two widow grows simultaneously, and I flushed one for 12 days (5 days plain water, 7 days with 1 cup sweet leaf to 25 gal water) and did not flush the other......I dried and cured both the same (5 day hang, 3 days paper bag, 2 weeks canning jars) and I promise you that the flushed weed burned better, didn't crackle and pop, and had a more "marijuana" taste....the un-flushed weed went out alot (I only smoke joints, and an occasional bonger), crackled while burning, and tasted like cat piss & oranges. So, I believe in flushing........just my HO.

It was actually 9 plants....2 grows going at once.....5 flushed, 4 unflushed......I grow in ebb & flow, hydroton/rockwool medium, 400w MH veg, 400w HPS flower, AN 3 part nutes + full line additives (minus Scorpion Juice, plus Sweet Leaf).....vegged 5 weeks, flowered 10, yield was 203 grams from the 5 plants and 189 grams from the 4 plants, which leads me to believe that without the flush my yield was enhanced, but I would rather have taste over yield......:peace:&bongsmilie

Yea I saw that thread and I feel like Bonz has enough experience to know. Might not work for everyone but Im willing to try. It does make sense.
