Turn for the worse

I got two ladies that have takin a turn on me quick. I thought it might be potassium deaf or maybe magnesium. But I showed e some pics to my hydro guy and he looked baffled. Told me to flush, flush, flush and since I'm in week six already just kep giving water. I have four plants and two have this but the others are starting to show. I'm in coco with humbouldt oneness nutes and cal/mag. PPM have been around 600-900. Ph around five/six. I use the drops so I don't have an exact number. I keep asking around for help before I make a fatal flaw. A

Any advice would help.

im am thinking the one plant that is severely effected probably won't make it or if it does wont have anything for yield or flavor.

I'm still a bit of a newb, and grow in hydro not soil, but if I saw this I would flush with pH adjusted water. I assume you know about pH lockout issues, where certain nutrients stop being taken by the plant if the pH is off. It varies by specific nutirent, so you might be cal or mag deficient due to the pH being out of range and adding cal mag will not solve the problem until the pH is fixed. So the first question is, what is your pH? It needs to be pretty close to 6.0.

I believe coco is 5.8-6.3 , but with the drops I can't get down to decimals so I try to stay in five. It very well may be a lockout. If I flush it do I need to give a feeding of nutes or keep giving water since I'm already in week six of flower?

Have you already started flushing them?
I hate to say it but its time to invest in a PH meter, or move to soil after this run. I wouldn't worry about it dying or tasting bad, it will still come out alright, maybe not top notch, but that is what learning is for. I believe they will make it just fine and if they were mine i would start flushing with 5.8 ph'd water, not about 5.8 but exactly 5.8. Its gonna cost about $40 for a meter, but will be well worth the money. If you can not afford it ( i am in the same boat) i would try to stay as close to 6 exactly with the drops as possible, take your time with it, test several times, in natural as possible light and try to get it exact.
My suggestion though is to run soil this next round, the soil is a much better buffer and problems typically don't get so sever so quickly.

A cheap but really good PH meter is the one listed below. It's dial adjustable which makes it much easier to collaborate. Get yourself some collaboration solution also. The drops work OK, but are just not reliable. Some hydro shops (mine) sell used meters, not the best option but in your situation, if you cannot afford a new one it's an option.

Who will join with me to say this was a good post =P

Thanks guys. I do need to grab one. I was at the tail end of the grow and thought the drops would do fine. I will grab one ASAP and flush the girls. Coco I believe was a mistake for me to begin with.thanks for all the help. Does anyone here use tap water in the springs?

I used to. Lived and grew there for two years. Rested my water for two days then botannicare pro and, wait for it..... Coco! You'll be fine, just keep at it and like tru said its a learning expierence!

I say it was a mistake because I had not perfected soil yet and I didn't plan out properly. I love coco and look forward to using it again but most likely after I learn the tricks and trades to growing the wonderful plant.

One tip I can offer is to grow veggies using the same methods you want to use on your cannabis. Tomatoes and cannabis have similar needs, and there is no plant count issue with tomatoes . I experiment every summer with new soil/nutrient recipes and incorporate the learnings into my indoor garden, which I only run during the cooler months.

Ps fuck tha raiders :)

Hold on now. Lol. Those fightin words haha i was born in aurora and still hate the donkeys!!! Anyone going to the Monday night game this year? I went last year but the donkeys crushed us. All good it was all made up in the playoffs with the broncos safety blown it up. Best play of the year, just seeing all the fans faces change was priceless.

i wanna grow veggies and more but I don't even have a backyard at the moment. Townhousin it up right now.

thanks for the welcome. Seems like a ton of good people and advice coming through this section. Seems I have found the true connoisseurs of chronic in these Colorado pages. I haven't met anyone really except BadAndy and the people at The Treehouse. Would love to run some of your genetics. How does one go about getting some of your beans?

Be sure to post the outcome of your plant's situation, hopefully a complete recovery. Feedback helps someone else and closes the loop for the obsessive growers who are wondering how your plants turned out and what the problem actually was.:weed:

I will once I think I have overcome it,but idk if I will. I flushed the two plants that looked the worst but that's all I did. I didn't give any more nutes though based on being almost done with week six. So the K defenciey won't get better right? I just hope they don't get any worse and make it to harvest. The two plants that look bad also seems really flimsy and not sturdy like the other two. Is that another sign of something?
